GTA 6 Immersive map updates

GTA 6 massive interactive map you can check now to plan your adventure begins

Plot your adventure

GTA 6 fans can now start planning their daring escapades in Vice City, as a new interactive map has been released.

The GTA 6 map is going to be massive, there’s no doubt about that.

From what little glimpses we’ve seen of the game so far, it looks like Rockstar Games is working hard to develop a huge open world with plenty to do.

GTA Online trailer

As long-time Grand Theft Auto fans will know, these games usually have an endless number of activities and opportunities to be involved in, ranging from bowling to base jumping. From heists to deep sea diving.

With GTA 6 now two console generations separated from its predecessor, Rockstar has undoubtedly increased the number of activities to do. And this is why an interactive map to keep track of everything is important.

The GTA 6 Interactive Map Project is a community-made project which interprets all promotional material currently released for GTA 6 and places them onto a map of Leonida State.

This way, you can see roughly where each exciting moment from the game’s two trailers takes place, as well as all the screenshots currently released too.

It’s quite an interesting tool, if you ask me.

It’s worth pointing out that Rockstar has not released an official map for GTA 6 yet, so any estimations of what the map will look like in its final form is just that: estimations.

As you can see from the Interactive Map project, there’s a lot of empty green space towards the north of the map.

Likely, Rockstar has refrained from showing these areas in pre-release footage, meaning we don’t have much information on how the map will turn out.

It remains to be seen whether the company will release more information, or even an official map, before launch.

Considering how secretive Rockstar is with the upcoming game, it might be that we even have to wait until release day to see the full map.

GTA 6 drops first official look at game’s map, and it’s massive

We are going to need a fast car

Despite fans now finally having access to a second official trailer, there is still plenty we don’t yet know about Grand Theft Auto VI.

As a result, fans have many questions surrounding the price tag for the highly anticipated game and how big Grand Theft Auto VI’s map will actually be.

Although Rockstar has not given us a definitive answer for either of those questions, thanks to its recent release of over 70 brand-new screenshots, we now have more of an idea about the game’s potential map size.

And it looks massive.

The screenshot in question was recently posted to the GTABase Twitter account and shows a brand-new character looking at a map of what we can expect to be the state of Leonida, or at least a small section of it.

Featuring a whole lot of water ways and various islands, this map looks to be on a massive scale and although it is a stylised version, it does still give us a better idea of what we can expect.

ICYMI this is our first look at the GTA VI map

“It looks bigger than GTA V,” one user commented.

“No wonder VI had largely gone quiet in terms of marketing and updates, .. leaving many fans speculating whether development was facing delays.”

The trailer itself also gave us a glimpse at the monumental scale GTA VI could be on.

For example, one licence plate hinted at Leonida not being the only state we can visit, and Rockstar itself has given us more information on some of the areas that will be featured throughout the game.

This includes Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park.

Although Rockstar has not released the official map or any coordinates, it is safe to assume that GTA VI will feature the biggest map in Grand Theft Auto history.

Not only that but with Rockstar being unmatched when it comes to levels of detail, we can expect the map to be jam-packed with activities, chaos, and madness.Featured Image Credit: Rockstar Games

GTA 6 map comparison leaves fans absolutely floored

Could this be the most realistic game yet?

The second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI gave us more insight into what we can expect when the highly-anticipated title finally releases next year.

We got to see more of our brand-new protagonists Jason and Lucia and supporting characters but perhaps more excitedly, we got to see the map that we will be spending the next decade exploring.

Set in a fictionalised Miami and surrounding areas, Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to feature the biggest open-world map in Rockstar history and fans are eagerly anticipating the many ways the new iconic locations can be explored.

Much like in previous Grand Theft Auto entries, GTA VI is based on real-life geography and to drill home how detailed Rockstar’s maps really are, user ProfessionalPop2348 took to r/GTA6 to share side-by-side images of the second trailer’s most recognisable locations.

“GTA 6 vs Google Maps locations,” the post reads, alongside a series of screenshots showing how accurate the locations shown in the trailer are to real life.

We can see the highway, motel, stadium, skyscrapers, and of course, the beach and it is shocking to see how accurate the game is to real life by looking at the comparison images.

It seems as though fans agree as they took to the comments to share their amazement.

“Can’t wait to see the ultra HD mods on pc in 10 years,” user Quentin718 shared.

User Mister_Frowdo added, “Is it just me, or does the scale come really close to the real life variant?

I mean, it’s not 1:1 and I don’t expect it to be, but man… Those are some big distances to drive, fly or sail and I love it!”

With many fans saying the trailer looks even better than real life, it is going to be a painful wait until GTA VI releases on 26 May 2026. We can only imagine how incredible it will look on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.Featured Image Credit: Rockstar Games

GTA 6’s most detailed map yet has fans losing their minds

Expectation is building once more

Upon hearing our pleas for any sort of update, Rockstar put us all out of our misery last week after finally releasing the long-awaited second official trailer for GTA VI.

It had been well over a year since the first official trailer was released and with no new screenshots, updates or teases, fans were starting to feel disheartened, especially following the news that Grand Theft Auto VI had been delayed from Fall 2025 to 26 May 2026.

However, with absolutely no warning, Rockstar released the second official GTA VI trailer last week, alongside 70+ new screenshots, video clips, and a revamped website giving us deeper insight into our brand-new characters, locations, and activities.

It is the list of locations that caught many fan’s eyes as we finally received confirmation of multiple different areas of the map which we can expect to explore.

This includes: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park.

As a result, Reddit user EliteFireBox has taken to r/GTA6 to share an updated look at what GTA VI’s map could look like courtesy of prolific mapper DuPz0r on the GTA VI mapping project Discord.

Using information about all the new locations as well as scouring the brand-new trailer in detail, the creator was able to put a new map together and it looks pretty damn impressive.

“Hey everyone, R* has delivered us a bounty of information for GTA VI, and we’re all hard at work connecting the dots!” The post reads, alongside a mock-up of the brand-new map.

“I thought since there’s so much content to get through, I would update the map in smaller intervals so we’re not waiting for hundreds of new things to be added to the map!”

The creator lists a change log for all the new areas and points of interest that they have added to the map project since the launch of the second trailer and it is safe to say that fans are blown away.

“I love how the top of the map is a f*cking mystery and nobody has a clue what is there lol,” one comment read.

“I predict massive redneck cults and Easter eggs related to sacrifices etc. This is the game of the century, guys.”

User ErickTheCactus added, “”It’s crazy to think how much this is going to change in the upcoming months, can’t wait to see how it evolves”

GTA 6 fans blown away by true scale of game’s open-world map

Could this be the biggest open-world yet?

This week saw Rockstar release the long-awaited second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, giving fans just under three-minutes of brand-new content to get stuck into.

Giving us a look at what the developers have been up to since the first trailer was released back in December 2023, it is clear to see that Grand Theft Auto VI will be revolutionary when it comes to graphics and details.

Viewers got to see the state of Leonida in all its glory – and the trailer gave us the opportunity to learn more about the new protagonist duo, Jason and Lucia, as well as the widee cast of eccentric characters who we will meet alongside them.

As you can probably already imagine, hardcore fans are already diving into this new trailer frame-by-frame to see the details that Rockstar have added to GTA VI.

As a result, one fan over on r/GTA6 has an interesting bit of information surrounding the game’s expansive open-world map.

“The draw distance is insane,” they posted, alongside a screenshot taken from the trailer.

“Usually far away models are reduced to low polygon and no shadows, but here we can see a fairly detailed object like cars, traffic signs, and lamp poles so far away and even their shadows. This is somewhat accurate to gameplay because you can see that the far away trees are low quality.”

Put simply, this suggests the true scale of GTA VI’s open-world as, despite no confirmation from Rockstar as of yet, it looks to be the biggest Grand Theft Auto map of all time.

This would make sense based on what Rockstar did confirm yesterday thanks to its brand-new GTA VI web page.

It reveals that the game will include multiple ‘main map’ locations such as Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park.

Not only that but another eagle-eyed fan noticed a license plate that could hint that Leonida may not be the only state we get to visit.
